BASE OIL

I make my soaps with plant sourced ingredients only.
In the future, I might use honey and milk.

PURE OLIVE OIL
Pure Olive Oil is a blend of extra virgin and refined grade “A” olive oil. Olive oil gives a rich feel and helps to create a very hard bar once fully cured. Used in the making of Castile soap. Olive oil is an extremely moisturising oil, and makes wonderful soap that is hard but also non-drying and extremely gentle on the skin. It is a fantastic source of natural vitamin E, and soothing and healing to all skin types. I use olive oil as the base to all my soap recipes (50-100%).

COCONUT OIL
One of the most common raw materials used in the soap and cosmetic industry. Coconut oil is a super cleansing addition that produces big, copious bubbles and emollient, moisturizing, conditioning and protecting to the skin. I use coconut oil as cleanse agent and hardener to my some recipes (10-30%) and main oil to shampoo bar (40%).

SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL
Palm Oil is widely used for it’s hardening properties in soap, and acts as a secondary lathering agent when used in conjunction with Coconut Oil. It is very mild and cleans well, but does not offer much in the way of skin conditioning. I use sustainable palm oil as hardener to my recipes (10-25%).

CASTOR OIL
This thick and viscous liquid is extracted from the Castor Bean Plant and has a slight but distinctive smell. Castor Oil is unsurpassed in terms of skin repair and is a popular healing agent for many skin problems and a natural remedy for dry skin. The triglyceride fatty acids present in Castor Oil help the skin to restore the natural moisture balance, thus preventing unnecessary dryness. Castor Oil also has many antibacterial properties and is fabulous in handmade soap for creating a rich lather with huge glossy bubbles. I use castor oil for baby soap and shampoo bar for creamy bubbles (5-10%).

AVOCADO OIL
Rich in vitamins A, D, & E as well as amino acids and protein. Wonderfully moisturizing and excellent for anyone with extremely sensitive skin. High in unsaponifiables. I use avocado oil for superfatting to super moisturizing soap bar (5-10%).
